Constant-speed traction meets material flow — how the TMS03 radial piston motor and the BMR orbital motor divide drive and conveyor duty for a uniform asphalt mat.

Mat quality on an asphalt paver depends on one thing above all: absolutely constant paving speed while material flow varies. Any speed ripple in the drive or interruption in the conveyor shows up as surface defects that compaction cannot fix.
Motor roles in this machine
- TMS03 — traction drive: The sphere-piston radial motor (shaft or wheel type) delivers smooth, ripple-free torque from 2 r/min, holding paving speed constant under changing loads. TMS03 reference →
- BMR — slat conveyor drive: The geroler orbital motor moves aggregate from hopper to screed at variable speed, matching material demand with its wide 10–1,550 r/min range. BMR reference →
