JMDG
Marine Cable Lifter
Hauling anchor chain link by link — how the JMDG crank-type radial piston motor drives a marine cable lifter under massive, uneven tension.

An anchor windlass cable lifter pulls chain that surges with every wave — tension spikes as the vessel pitches, then slackens, then spikes again. The drive has to absorb it all at very low speed.
Motor roles in this machine
- JMDG — chain wheel drive: Crank-type radial piston construction handles tens of thousands of newton-metres with the mechanical margin marine class societies expect. JMDG reference →
- Surge tolerance: Smooth torque delivery from 3 r/min rides through tension spikes without shock-loading the chain or gypsy wheel.
