Blade precision starts with traction and steering — how the TMS05 wheel motor, BM4 orbital motor, and BDAS5 steering unit divide the work on a motor grader.
Grading tolerance is measured in millimetres over hundreds of metres. That precision starts below the blade: traction must not slip, and steering must not wander, or the surface records every fault.
Motor roles in this machine
- TMS05 — front wheel assist (AWD): Wheel-type radial piston motors add front traction on soft ground, keeping the blade loaded evenly. TMS05 reference →
- BM4 — auxiliary drive: Heavy-duty orbital motor for circle turn and auxiliary functions, compact enough for the grader frame. BM4 reference →
- BDAS5 — steering unit: Full-hydraulic steering with proportional response holds a straight grading line pass after pass. BDASS reference →
