Hoist, drive, and slew on unprepared ground — how the ZYJ winch, TMS wheel motors, and ZCM3 slew transmission make up a rough terrain crane’s drive system.

A rough terrain crane lifts on ground a truck crane cannot reach. That takes three coordinated hydraulic drives: a load-holding hoist, all-wheel traction, and a slew drive that positions tonnes with millimetre control.
Motor roles in this machine
- ZYJ — main hoist winch: Integrated motor + drum + spring-applied brake holds rated load fail-safe. ZYJ reference →
- TMS — wheel drives: Wheel-type radial piston motors give all-wheel traction over soft, uneven ground. TMS reference →
- ZCM3 — slew drive: Motor + gearbox + brake in one unit turns the superstructure smoothly and holds it on grade. ZCM reference →
